Trans-Tasman Tournament Announcement

We are excited to invite you to the Trans-Tasman Badminton Tournament 2024, hosted by the Melbourne Smashers Badminton Club.

The Trans-Tasman Tournament is a celebration of unity, diversity, and pride in the badminton community. It brings together players from diverse backgrounds and skill levels to foster connections and create a supportive environment. We want everyone to feel valued and accepted for who they are.

WHEN: Saturday 2nd November 2024

WHERE: Melbourne Sports & Aquatics Centre, Australia

WHAT: Trans-Tasman Tournament & Spring Ball

WHO: Everyone welcome!

YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED MEMBER OF THE AUCKLAND FEATHERS (OR OTHER SISTER CLUB) TO PLAY IN THIS TOURNAMENT.

If you are not a fully joined member with Auckland Feathers, you will not be able to play in the tournament. This will sell out and tickets are limited.

This year, the Melbourne Smashers Badminton Club is also celebrating its 10-year anniversary. To make this year's tournament even more memorable, we will be hosting a Gala event, the 10th Year Anniversary Spring Ball, on the same night as the tournament. The Spring Ball will be a night of food, drinks, celebration, and entertainment, including performances by DJs and drag queens. Award winners from the tournament will also be presented at the Spring Ball.

They have partnered with Pullman Hotel, Albert Park, to offer convenient accommodation packages for the weekend. The hotel will also host the Spring Ball, ensuring everything is in close proximity for your convenience.

Melbourne Smashers would like to thank you for your support and look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne in November 2024. For updates leading up to the event, please join our Facebook Group - Trans Tasman Tournament 2024.

See Melbourne Smashers Website for more details.
